As we design these things, we could be thinking about

these invisible worlds, and also thinking about how they interact with our personal ecosystems.

The uncomfortable fact is that actually almost everything that we call architecture today is actually the business of
designing
for about the richest one percent of the world's population, and it always has been.
Like, never

a piece that can't be lifted up.
Or, when you're

a piece, make sure you either can't put it in the wrong way round, or, if you do, it doesn't matter, because it's symmetrical.
I'm going to be talking about

humor, which is sort of an interesting thing, but it goes to some of the discussions about constraints, and how in certain contexts, humor is right, and in other contexts it's wrong.
Well, to do that, we can follow the strategy of nature, because with evolution, she's done a pretty good job in

machines for environment interaction.
And my last assignment there was to run a unit called intervention development, which was responsible for

at scale is this: It's hard in part because it requires a combination of two things, audacity and humility — audacity to believe that the thing that you're making is something that the entire world wants and needs, and humility to understand that as a designer, it's not about you or your portfolio, it's about the people that you're
designing
for, and how your work just might help them live better lives.
