Donnie Darko is one my all-time favorites and I even thought Southland Tales had it's moments.

This movie is filled with so many idiotic moments, that you wonder how it ever got made.
There are certainly bright moments, historical elements and some good acting, but overall I can only recommend this for DVD/tape at home.
