I remember this Peanuts movie-special, along with A Boy Named Charlie Brown, fondly as a kid, when they replayed these

on Nickelodeon (or it might have been Disney's channel, can't remember which).
This film is maybe relying on more sentimentality than the former, as in this one the issue of leaving home and belonging to an master/owner (and the attachment), and the comedy isn't as rampant as in other Peanuts

But of the dozens of Peanuts specials- and the short-lived television series- this is one of the better ones, as there are some moments that still stick in my mind many years after seeing it.
Goodman needs to stick to "Roseanne" comeback specials, Saturday Night Live appearances, and "Babe Ruth" type characters from now on.

I bought this movie brand new for $5.00 in the bargain bin .It appeared to be a nice funny family movie.The cover named some top actors.It has some really cute dogs in it; but that's about all it has going for it.I'm usually a big fan of animal movies.Based on the humor i.e. the very tired male genitalia jokes , the farting & pooping (some body get this guy some of the pink liquid) , and all around cheesy lines; the only people who would enjoy this movie would be a group of sixth grade boys.The movie isn't a knock- off of Snow Dogs .I thought Snow Dogs was a really good movie.It's much worse.I would recommend renting this movie only if your video store has Rent one,Get one free specials.Maybe use it as your free rental ... hmm on second thought maybe not.
The scene with stop-motion animation is worse than a dozen California Raisins Holiday

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" is still my all time favorite Xmas special and most of the early
specials
remain among my favorites.
Also, Vince Guaraldi, the wonderfully talented composer of the

is not involved at all.
That was the only time I felt any sense of the joy of the classic "Peanuts" specials, although I did get kind of a kick out of Thurl Ravenscroft singing "No Dogs Allowed" whenever Snoopy saw a sign with that on it.
The story had none of the wit of the strip, the

I've always thought that Snoopy had pretty much taken over the strip in the mid 70s and to an extent, the specials, but the Snoopy obsession seems to have reached its peak here.
Im guessing that the later movies are probably even weaker, because the later
