i was just flicking through channels when i saw an ad for reaper....directed by Kevin smith....now this came as a surprise to me as I'm usually up to date with his works....a regular on the IMDb page as well as the message boards...so decided to give it a go....mostly anything Kevin smith does (despite saying that after jay and silent bob strike back he was quiting the industry...) is good in my book :) and i was pleased to see that this was no exception....the plot is great...and not (as another user posted) like Shaun of the dead...similarities in certain things perhaps...but clearly not based on Shaun of the dead... i would however recommend this series to any fan of Kevin smith or even any fan of comedy...its a warm light hearted comedy about a kid whose just really not had the best start to being 21...:)
although i've used IMDb as a resource for years i've never felt the need to chime in as a reviewer or post on the message boards, in this case i felt absolutely compelled to, especially after reading the false glowing reviews
posted
by others...which is just as fraudulent as this movie winning any recognition, a DVD distribution deal...any of that.
Be nice to see it

Looking over the
posted
comments here regarding this one, I can't help but feel that Television has wrecked havoc with the taste buds of most viewers- because MIGHTY PEKING MAN, more than anything else, reminds me of an episode of a really bad television show (take your pick, from day first to this- and they're still being cranked out with mind-numbing regularity); nothing more, nothing less.
I don't want to spoil the movie for everyone, but to the comments

Those who have
posted
here comparing Tobe Hooper's (one and only) masterpiece with the dreadful remake are presumably young children with no real understanding of cinema.
I finally managed to get through the film with the aid of modern technology i.e. a dvr that plays back at 300x.What I enjoy the most about the database are the comments posted. Some of the writers should be teaching creative English at the university level although I secretly suspect that all the people who aced those courses didn't get jobs at the New York Times or become mainstream film critics and I know that IMDb reviewers have no reason to distort the truth or are getting paid off.Sometimes the only redeeming social aspect of some of these films are the comments made by the Silent Majority (was that Jerry Falwell or Spiro Agnew who coined that term ?

I have seen the movie and read reviews that were
posted
about the movie Indigo.I never even heard about the movie until a week or so before the showing.I personally know one of these children, most of the time he is just a normal little boy like any other child,he doesn't do a lot of the things that Gracie does, but I believe that her character was just a mix of their gifts to show what they can do.The main point of the movie that I feel is the most important is that they are here to bring out the truth, they can see behind what adults and others tell them. You will not pull the wool over their eyes, they CAN see right through you and read what is in your heart, your pain from the past wrongs in your life. And also the good things about you. They can and will heal the planet. The other thing I feel about them is that through the real truth, they will bring peace wherever they go.They came here with their switches turned on,in the past people have had to go through a life changing experience to be enlightened.Near death experience comes to mind.I pray that I meet more Indigo's,If you meet one you will never forget it,he sometimes looks at you suddenly from a break at playing and tells you something about what has been troubling you for some time, then he has that all knowing smile and off they go playing again.
