In the last 20 years, the
Hearing
Voices Movement has established

voices networks in 26 countries across five continents, working together to promote dignity, solidarity and empowerment for individuals in mental distress, to create a new language and practice of hope, which, at its very center, lies an unshakable belief in the power of the individual.
All his ideas, imagination and philosophy were inspired by this little boy in the village where he grew up, smelling a specific smell,

a specific voice, and thinking a specific thought.
