This is one of my favorite corals, and always has been: dendrogyra cylindrus, the pillar

And this was in part because in over 30 years of research surveys, scientists had never found a baby pillar

On the right-hand side, we've taken that same piece of coral, put it in a nuclear reactor, induced fission, and every time there's some decay, you can see that marked out in the coral, so we can see the uranium distribution.
